__Almost 20 years ago,..While on an afternoon jog in Sharjah, a city near Dubai., God spoke to me to go behind a buildingโฆ.Just in time, I reached the back where I saw a Filipina domestic helper throwing away some garbage. I greeted her and tried to start a conversation. I noticed she appeared distressed, uneasy and trembling, and then she suddenly told me she was being harassed by her employer. I asked for her phone number and apartment number, promising her that I would bring the matter to the Philippine consulate.
To make the story short, she was rescued and brought to a safe house at OWWA office in Dubai. After a few weeks, I decided to visit her and took the opportunity to encourage her to attend a Christian fellowship at the OWWA office.. As I left the building, I saw her waving from a distance, her gesture as if saying, โMaraming salamatโ That was the last time I saw her.
Two years later, I received a text message. To my surprise, it was from the same Filipina, now working in Hong Kong. She wrote, โIโm the lady you found at the back of the building, and you helped me connect with our consulate. I am now here in Hong Kong, and Iโm happy serving the Lord.โ My heart pounded with joy as I read her words.
___The Filipina whose name I don't recall has gone from a desperate situation to a new life serving the Lord in Hong Kong. This transformation stands as a powerful testament to Godโs faithfulness. In the same way, All the promises He has made to you are "Yes" and Amen in Christ, the plans spoken for youโwhether two years, ten years, or even twenty years agoโwill certainly come to pass in His perfect time.
